Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
